What is Beti hai Anmol Yojana Scheme?
Under the Beti hai Anmol Yojana Scheme, the girl children belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families are somewhat helped. This amount will serve as a boon to educate the girl child of the family. The Yojana started with the motive of making the female child self-reliant. It will also increase the country’s overall sex ratio. Moreover, this will substantially boost the females in their careers and help them reach new heights. It can even lessen the burden on the family, which has many children to feed and care for.
What are the benefits of this program?
The girl children will receive a scholarship of Rs 300 to Rs 12,000 for studying in classes 1st to 12th when the family’s daughter decides to continue her education after 12th to pursue graduation. The girl child gets a higher amount of Rs 5000. Female students enrolled under this scheme can withdraw their accumulated amount from the bank after they reach the age of 18 years and above. Alternatively, when a female child is born in the BPL family, they will get an amount of Rs 10000 under this scheme.
Eligibility criteria for applying for the Beti hai Anmol Yojana Scheme
Here are a few given eligibility criteria that one needs to follow before applying to any scheme and they are as follows:
- The candidate must be a girl child.
- She must have a domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
- Only two female children of every BPL family are eligible to apply.
Note: Please note that all the selected students will be eligible to receive financial grants and assistance at the time of birth of the girl child. Also, an annual scholarship will follow preceding these benefits.
Documents required to fill in the online application form
A list of documents to filling the online application form is as follows:
- Photocopy of BPL certificates.
- Identity proofs such as Aadhar Card, Pancard, or government ID proofs.
- Letterhead with the sign and stamp of the school headmaster. (if the applicant is a student).
- Provide proof showing the date of birth, such as birth certificates.
- Photocopy of bonafide Himachali Certificate.

- Press the Apply Now button on the link above.
- Navigate through the Register Now option.
- Fill in all the asked details using the Gmail ID/ Mobile Number and password.
- Press the login button and apply at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll through the ‘Guest/New User’ bubble if not registered.
- Enter your name, mobile number, and the applicant’s email ID details
- Click the Submit option.
- Upload the documents after submission.
- The candidate will then be redirected to a payment page where they need to make the payment online using their bank account or Upi ID.
- Pay all the application fees (if available).
- Download the receipt for personal use.
Important Dates to note down:
There is no last date for filling out the online application form. The applicants can fill it out at any time of the year.
Selection Critera for applying to the Beti hai Anmol Yojana
All the candidates and applicants will be selected based on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. Failing to abide by the eligibility criteria will lead to the candidate not being selected.
