Who is the Sitaram Jindal Foundation?

Sitaram Jindal Foundation is a Bangalore-based charitable organization. It was started in 1969 to promise social and moral support to financially weaker students. This support will help improve society’s social upliftment, giving these students and their families a better life. Padma Bhushan Dr. Sitaram Jindal started this extraordinary institution. This trust has worked up to setting up many N.G.O.s, hospitals, and educational institutions. They founded the most famous Jindal Naturecure Institute (JNI) in Bangalore). This foundation has also actively participated and contributed towards the development of infrastructures in the rural parts of the country.

This NGO is a charitable organization that collects funds to help needy students. It provides resources for undergraduates and postgraduates to complete their studies. What are the benefits of this scholarship program?

The selected students will receive a total of ₹3,200 per month. This will help provide financial aid to underprivileged students pursuing diploma and degree courses. This foundation has successfully run vocational courses for women in the era of women’s development and empowerment.

Simultaneously, they have active functioning and don’t tolerate any kind of affiliations, whether religious, political, or social. They have set a great example of leadership qualities, supporting more than 500 charitable institutions in India. Dedicating 46 years of service for the betterment of people worldwide.

CATEGORY C Graduation courses Boys: Rs 1100 Girls: Rs 1400
Physically Challenged Students: Rs 1400 Unmarried wards of Ex-servicemen and Widows: Rs 1500
Postgraduate courses Boys: Rs 1500 Girls: Rs 1800
Widows & unmarried wards of Ex-servicemen: Rs 1800 Physically Challenged Students: Rs 1800
CATEGORY D Diploma Courses Boys: Rs 1000 Girls: Rs 1200
CATEGORY E Graduate engineering courses Boys: Rs 2000 Girls: Rs 2300
Graduate medicine courses Boys: Rs 2500 Girls: Rs 3000
Postgraduate Engineering and medicine courses Boys: Rs 2800 Girls: Rs 3200
For students staying in the hostel IIT/ Diploma: Rs 1200 Medical and engineering courses (including PG Courses): Rs ₹1800


Eligibility Critera for applying to the Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Program

To be eligible for applying to this scholarship scheme, all the students must follow the below criteria:

The criteria differ as per different states:

Category: A

  • Students studying in class 11th and 12th  

For Karnataka state:

Boys: 70%
Girls: 65%

For West Bengal State :

Boys: 65%
Girls: 60%

Category: B

  • Students pursuing IIT
    For all government and private institutions

Boys: 45%
Girls: 35%

Category: C

For all the graduate courses ( Bachelor of Business Economics and Finance, B.Sc, B.C.A, B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.A, B.F.A., B.B.A., B.Com, BVSC. The integrated course of five years ( out of which three years will be considered graduation), Environment Engineer, Environment Journalist and Environment Scientist, Forensic Sciences and Social Work, Hospitality, and Microbiology.

Boys: 55%
Girls: 50%

For West Bengal:
Boys: 60%
Girls: 55%

For Karnataka:
Boys: 65%
Girls: 60%

  • Students pursuing their postgraduate courses (Integrated course for five years, out of which two years will be accounted for on a postgraduate basis, Human Resources Management, M.Sc. /MVSc, M.Sc. (Agriculture), Solar Energy, Rural/Urban Management. B.A., M.Phil, M.Lib (Science), M.A., Master of Business, finance or Economics, M.Lib (Science), Environment Journalist, International Business, Organic Agriculture, Environment Scientist and Forensic Sciences and Social Work, Hospitality, Microbiology, and Environment Engineer.

Boys: 60%
Girls: 55%

For Karnataka:
Boys: 65%
Girls: 60%

Category: D

  • Diploma courses in general stream, Environmental Engineering, Nursing, Physiotherapy, X-ray technology, Dialysis Technology, Dental Mechanics, Pharmacy, Environmental Science, Ophthalmology, and X-ray technology.

Boys: 55%
Girls: 50%

Category E:

  • Engineering & Medicine Courses ( Graduate and postgraduate medicine courses such as M.B.B.S.., Homeopathy and Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Surgery and M.Pharma (excluding M.D.S.), Graduate engineering courses including Architecture)

Boys: 65%
Girls: 60%

Please note that all disabled and Physically challenged students will be eligible with passing marks in all categories mentioned above).

Documents Required:

Here are the documents required to fill out the online application form.

  1. Income proofs such as income certificates and salary slips are also needed.
  2. H.S.C. and SSLC academic certificates.
  3. Certificates from hostelers and hostel wardens.
  4. Other important documents include a relationship dependency certificate, P.P.O., and a physical disability certificate from a government authority (for disabled people).
  5. School fee receipts ( only for Engineering, M.B.A., Medical, and Diploma students).
  6. Last examination marksheets.
  7. Merit certificates ( applicable only for Diploma, Medical, Engineering and M.B.A. students)
