Through this internship, students can connect and apply theoretical knowledge in the practical world. All the students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and PhD degree courses can apply for this internship scheme. Benefits of this Internship Program

This is a paid internship. All the selected students will get a monthly stipend. The stipend will range from Rs 8,000. A stipend and certificate shall be given upon successful completion of the internship duration. All the onsite interns will get office logistic support. This will include their seating arrangement and access to photocopiers, printers, and other stationery. Laptops and internet connections are the sole responsibility of all interns. The total duration of the internship is around 3 to 6 months. Any candidate who leaves the internship incomplete shall be ineligible for future consideration. Applicants can apply a second time. 

Eligibility criteria for applying to the National AIDS Control Organization Internship Scheme

All the participating students must follow the eligibility criteria below to be eligible to apply.

  1. The candidate should be an Indian native or must possess citizenship.
  2. Applicants must study at a renowned university.
  3. They should be pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil.
  4. And Ph.D. degree courses.
  5. The candidate’s chosen disciplines can differ from Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Preventive and Social Medicine.
  6. The management will consider students with excellent academic achievements.
  7. Also, candidates having project experience that is similar to NACO’s activities or aligned with NACP are considered.

Documents Required:

Here is a list of documents required to complete the online application form.

  • A Curriculum Vitae (CV) or biodata shows relevant education details and qualifications.
  • NOC (No objection letter or certificate) from the concerned university or college (if the internship is applied with an ongoing course).
  • Duly filled and signed application form.
  • An Introductory Letter from the Head of the Institute.
  • Write around 500 words on the article “How the student’s academic pursuit, as well as the National AIDS Control Programme, will benefit from this Internship”.
  • Self-attested academic mark sheets and certificates as mentioned on the Internship application form.
  • Documentary proofs include an Aadhaar card/Voter ID/PAN Card for all Indian nationals. 
  • National Identity Card, OCI card and Passport for all OCI card holders.
  • Passport size photographs.
  • Students from abroad must have travel visas and approval letters from their universities.

After filling out the form, submit it to the Deputy Secretary of the National AIDS Control Organization Internship Scheme. Rules and Regulations of the Internship

  • Applications duly signed and filled out, along with a synopsis, must be submitted at least 1 month before the commencement of the Internship Program.
  • NACO has all the rights to terminate any candidate without giving reasons if deemed unfit by NACO.
  • Interns can leave the program anytime before giving 1-year notice to the Ministry. Such students will not get any certificate or stipend.
  • NACO’s decision in any regard will be termed as ‘Final Decision’.
