What is the IGNCA Internship Program?
IGNCA is an internship program started by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, Delhi, for needy students. All the students pursuing their graduation, post-graduation and research from any recognized and well-known institute or university are eligible to apply for this internship. Applications are welcomed from India as well as abroad.
What are the benefits of this internship program?
Under this internship program, all the students will gain hands-on experience in various divisions and units with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts. There are many empirical collections to learn from, and the students will also get an opportunity to collaborate with academic inputs and in-house learning. What are the eligibility criteria for applying for this Internship Program?
The only specific eligibility criteria that every student must follow to get selected for this internship:
- The student must be pursuing their graduation, post-graduation and research-related courses.
- Students should be from a renowned and well-known university or institution.
- The location is not a barrier, as students within India and abroad may apply.
Selection criteria for applying to the Internship Program
The management will select the candidates based on their fulfilment of the eligibility criteria. All the applications will be sent to the head of the department/ division concerned. The unit or head of the division will then process the application. Only three interns will be selected at a time. All interns will have to submit a report or paper at the end of the assignment. How do I apply for this Internship Program?
All eligible candidates can read the internship notification on the official website of IGNCA. All interested interns should clearly state their area of interest while applying for the scholarship. The candidate should apply at the above-given address. The applications are invited for every financial only one time. After selection, the student must get a letter from their head of department or supervisor. This is to indicate the student’s status in the institution. A ‘NO OBJECTION’ certificate states the student can undergo the internship programme when selected. Interns should have their laptops. The logistics and support department will provide interns with internet facilities, working space and other facilities. Duration of the Internship Program
