What is the AKADAMICS Scholarship?
Under the AKADAMICS Scholarship program, all the financially weaker students will get an opportunity to receive financial benefits from the sponsors. Not only that, but they will also get a chance to enhance their skills and develop academically with the help of professional mentoring. This scholarship will be a boon to brilliant students who have excelled academically.
The primary motive of this scholarship is to promote the importance of higher education for students and their parents. This will also increase the literacy in the State of Assam. Also, it will make students financially independent and contribute to their parent’s well-being.
Benefits of this Scheme
All the selected students will get an opportunity to receive financial aid and benefits in four equal instalments every year. Furthermore, scholarship money will be deposited in the candidate’s bank account.
Eligibility Criteria for Applying to the AKADAMICS Scholarship 2024
All the candidates who are willing to apply for this scholarship program need to go through the criteria properly. Please read them carefully to avoid the non-selection or cancellation of the candidature.
- The student must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must have permanent citizenship in Assam State.
- The applicant’s family income must be Rs 50000 or even less.
- Students must be seeking or pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- The candidate should be studying at a renowned university or college.
- Applicant should have passed the pre-university/Higher secondary/ Indian School Certificate (ISC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or any equivalent college or board.

Here is a mandatory list of documents that one needs to upload online while filling out the online application form. It is as follows:
- Student’s Marksheet of the previous qualifying year.
- Domicile certificate of the applicant.
- Passport-size photograph of the candidate.
- The family’s income certificate is issued by the state government authority of India.
- Salary slips along with the name and details of the employee( if applicable).
- A pension certificate (only if the employee is retired or a pensioner).
- Bank statements such as passbooks and cancelled cheques show the account holder’s name, IFSC code, and branch name along with the code.

- Press on the Apply Now option given at the bottom of the screen.
- A register button will pop up on the screen.
- Press the button and register using your email ID / Gmail ID and password of your choice.
- Once it is generated, you will be asked to log on to the website again.
- Put in your ID and password used during the sign-up.
- Complete the Aadhar Biometric process using your Mobile OTP as the site prompts.
- Once done, hop on to the ‘How to Apply’ section.
- Click on the Online Application Form link.
- Fill in all the details as advised.
- Save and proceed further.
- Upload the relevant documents asked.
- Scroll toward the Submit Option.

Here is a list of some essential points the candidates need to understand before filling in the online application form or while sending it through post.
- Once a scholarship is granted, it will stay valid until the academic year is completed. For example, If the scholarship is awarded for the year 2024, then it will be paid in 4 instalments during the whole year.
- There are no maximum or minimum points or grades or cgpa that are allotted to be eligible or apply for this scheme.
- Moreover, the North American AFNA SSB organization uses all the information provided for an application form.
- In case the scholarship amount doesn’t cover the total expenses of the candidate for the pursued course. For that matter, the applicant will be allowed to seek other scholarship schemes as well.
- This will include all the essay sections that are promoted in Section 10 to make the overall selection for the scholarship to be considered.

Selection Criteria of the Candidate/ Applicant
Talking about the selection criteria of the candidate, the overall selection will pertain to two main factors:
- Information is submitted while filling out the online application form.
- The essay that the candidate submitted.
The AFNA Scholarship Selection Board (SSB) will review all the completed application forms, and the board’s decision will be final.
