What is the ICRO Amrit Internship Scheme 2024?
A joint venture program offered by the Indian Potash Limited (IPL) and the National Productivity Council (NPC). The Government of India, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, conducts this internship. It extends its support to all the Class 12 passed students, diploma holders, graduates, and final-year graduates.
About ICRO
Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has played a brighter role in inputs and multiple value chains. Now, they have set their foot toward the development of agricultural growth and prosperity of farmers. IPL has a vast network and is managed by 15 regional offices in various capital states of India. To foster their objective of taking agriculture to every single doorstep of the six lakh farmer villages across the country and the development of farmers and youths, they have joined hands with the National Productivity Council (NPC). The government of India established the National Productivity Council to generate awareness and innovative solutions concerning different sectors. They have excelled in other areas of development, such as training, consultancy, evaluation studies, and research.
IPL and its NCP experts established the IPL Centre for Rural Outreach (ICRO) as part of their corporate responsibility. This is how the ICRO Amrit Internship Scheme came into existence to focus on youth productivity and enhancement.
Benefits of the ICRO Amrit Internship Scheme 2024
All the selected interns under the ICRO program will get a monthly stipend of Rs 6000 per month right after completing the internship course. Furthermore, the main objective of this internship program is to train rural students and enhance their vocal skills. Simultaneously, they aim to generate young entrepreneurs to work in the rural settings provided to them. Besides, they wish to spread and improve the knowledge at the youth interface level. Through this program, they also want to ensure the conservation of resources and environmental sustainability nationwide.
Eligibility Criteria
- The student must be a citizen of India.
- They must have proof of government ID, such as an Aadhar Card.
- Applicants between the age group of 18-45 years are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be a class 12 passed, graduate, Diploma Holder, or in the Final year of graduation.
Note:
- Preference will be given to students applying from the agricultural sector or those with qualifications matching this sector.
- Candidates won’t receive any transport or allowance fees for the internship separately.
Documents needed to apply for the ICRO Amrit Internship Scheme 2024
The students must only submit a letter of recommendation from their school, college, or university in the prescribed format. Knowing that the internship will be for three months is equally essential. But it will be renewed four times. So, it will be an internship of 1 year in total.
