Eligibility Criteria for Applying to the British Council Scholarship Scheme for Women in STEM FIELD?

Selection Criteria of the Candidate

The candidates will be selected based on their managerial experience and academic merits. Factors like personal statement responses and community involvement will also be considered when determining the candidate.

• Candidates who have previously studied at a UK university through funding from the UK government.
• Applicants who are currently underfunding or have financial receipts from the British government.
• Students must not be employees, relatives, or former employees of the British Council Scholarships for Women in the eligible STEM countries.
• Applicants must not be holding dual British Citizenship.
• Students must not be employees, relatives, or former employees working in the below-given institutes:
• Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT)
• Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
• Ministry of Defence and the Home Office
• Her Majesty’s Government is not limited to High Commissions or British Embassies.
• Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ),
• Department for International Trade.

Rules and Regulations that will be followed:

• Applicants must not be studying at higher universities in the UK or even at a degree level.
• Candidates who don’t have any exposure to International colleges will be preferred.
• Applicants pursuing distance learning at the UK branch or UK university.
• Students must not be receiving ongoing funding from UK universities.
