What is Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen?

The Maharashtra Government has launched the Education Concession for the Children of Ex-Servicemen. This scheme was started under the Directorate of Higher Education to provide financial assistance to the children of the veterans. This will help the students to study without compromising on their education fees.

Benefits of this Program

Under this scholarship program, all the selected students will get an opportunity for a 100% waiver on their education fees. This concession will cover all the expenses, such as semester exams, admission, and all the library fees, along with the laboratory fees.

Eligibility Criteria for Applying to Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

If you are interested in applying to this scholarship concession scheme, here is a list of the eligibility criteria you need to follow:

  • The student needs to be a resident of India.
  • Candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra.
  • Applicant should be studying in a government-aided or government college.
  • The college must be located in the State of Maharashtra.
  • Applicant can be a wife/child/r/widow of an ex-serviceman.

Note: The students residing and studying outside Maharashtra are not eligible to apply for this scholarship concession fee.

What are the documents required to apply for this scholarship scheme?

If you are eligible to apply, kindly go through the list of documents that are necessary to apply for this Scholarship concession scheme. While filling out the online application form, you have to keep this document ready to avoid the cancellation of your candidature form.

  1. Admission Receipt of the government or the government-aided college.
  2. Domicile certificate of the Candidate.
  3. The president and collector of the DSSA board issues an eligibility certificate.
  4. Photograph of the Candidate.
  5. A government-issued government ID such as an Aadhar Card.

In case the selected students wish to renew their Scholarship concession policy, they need to submit all the documents listed above.

  • Click on the Apply Now button on the above link.
  • Tap on the Register Now Button.
  • Fill in all the details as required in the registration.
  • If you haven’t registered yet, log on with your Email ID/ Mobile Number along with your password.
  • Press the New Applicant Registration on the right side of the screen.
  • Fill in the details and also verify your email ID and mobile number.
  • Complete the Aadhar Authentication Process using your biometric or the OTP.
  • After the authentication process, fill in the details and click on the Register Button.
  • Tap the Applicant login button displayed on the right side of the dashboard.
  • Log in with your email ID/ username and password.
  • Update the essential details.
  • Upload the documents that are given above.
  • Click on the Submit Button.

  1. Click on Applicants Login.
  2. If not registered yet, click on the New Applicant Registration button.
  3. Enter your username and password.
  4. Enter the security text and confirm your login.
  5. You will be taken to the welcome page. 
  6. Once you have logged in, click on the User profile icon.
  7. Fill in your name, DOB, phone number, email ID, and address.
  8. Upload your photograph and relevant documents, such as your caste certificate, Eligibility criteria certificate, Domicile certificate, and Admission receipt for the college.
  9. Click on the Submit Button.
