Benefits gained from the Scholarship Scheme

All the selected trans students will get expenses that will cover their academic courses. This will include admission fees, exam fees and tuition fees. Students studying in standard 9th to 12th will receive a scholarship benefit up to Rs 24,000. Meanwhile, students who are pursuing their undergraduate and postgraduate courses will receive benefits worth Rs 40,000.

The Applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in their earlier academic years.
Students from all parts of India can apply.
Children of employees working at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and Buddy4study are not eligible to apply.
The scholarship is open to all trans students.
Students studying in class 9th and those willing to pursue their post-graduation courses can actively apply.
The annual income of the family must be INR 10,00,000, including all the sources.

Here is a list of necessary documents to fill out when filling out the online application form. It is as follows:

A recent photograph of the candidate.
The applicant filled out and signed the self-declaration form.
Transgender certificate.
Photo ID proof of the candidate, such as an Aadhar or PAN card.
Proof of admission, such as academic fees receipt and college and school ID card for the academic year.
Proof of family income, such as an income certificate provided by the Government Authority of India, salary slips and ITR.
Bank details of the candidate or the parent/guardians.
A photocopy of the academic fees receipt, tuition or exam fees.

If the candidate is minor, i.e., under 18 years old, the following documents are required.

A transgender photo ID issued by a government institute or authority
A certificate or letter provided by the college or school confirming the transgender status of the student
Certificate or letter of recommendation of the NGO the student, was associated with, provided it serves as a Guardian for the candidate.

In case the candidate is a minor less than 18 years of age, then the following documents are required:

Government-issued Transgender ID card.
Certificate or letter from the concerned NGO.
A recent photograph of the applicant.
Self declaration form duly signed by the candidate.
