Fellowship Awards benefits of Inlaks Fellowship for Social Engagement 2024
The fellowship will ultimately depend on the geographical location of the fellow. The stipend given is as follows:
- Rs 45000 per month if the fellow works and lives in the ‘X’ Category Area.
- Rs 35000 monthly if the fellow stays and works in the ‘Y’ Category Area.
- Rs 25000 monthly when the fellow resides and works in the ‘Z’ Category Area.
Note: The final stipend amount will depend on the foundation’s discretion. The fellows will be given Rs 20000 for special projects in certain exceptional cases.

Condition for the Stipend
Consequently, there are specific rules that the fellow must need to follow to receive the stipend amount. The rules are as follows:
- The fellowship will be for two years, depending on the satisfactory completion of the probation period and your work.
- The probation period will be the first six months of the fellowship.
- The stipend will be distributed every three months based on the fellow’s progress.
- The quarterly report of the receipt is subject to the stipend amount.
- The mentors will access and report your progress during submission.
- A half-yearly progress report is compulsory by the mentor.

Documents required:
The fellows must submit the documents below to receive the fellowship amount from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation. The documents are as follows:
- A work plan and a concise description of work or research (word limit is 1000) along with the expected outcome of the work.
- Statement of purpose addressing issues like Work plan contribution to social change and how the applicant contributes to public discourse on the chosen issue.
- Applicants could employ mediums like publishing reports, blogging, filmmaking, publications, archiving, theatre, etc).
- Letter of endorsement from the mentor on their official letterhead explaining the mentor’s work experience and application to the mentor why they endorsed the applicant’s work plan.
- Mentors’ contact details(email ID and official address).
- A mentor must also agree to supervise the applicant’s work during the fellowship.
- Also, comment and review the fellow’s progress during the quarterly submission.
- A letter of recommendation (for fresh candidates, an academic letter is a must).
